We have started a CHRISTMAS SHOE BOX APPEAL whereby animal lovers can fill a shoe box with food and toys for the cats in our care at RSPCA Stafford Wolverhampton and District Branch. The cats in our care have all come into the Branch through the inspectorate and have not had the best start in life so we thought it would be a nice way for our supporters to give directly to them while they are in our...
Thank you to the 16 dogs and their owners who joined us for our Halloween Mutt Strutt. We had some excellent doggy costumes… devil horns were a particular favourite (amongst owners not dogs though!!)…. the costumes soon came off as we got walking.
The weather held out and dogs walked either 1.5 or 3 miles (no one was brave enough for the 5 miles on this blustery day!).
A great time was had by...
Thank you to the Tesco stores at Hednesford, Stafford and Wolverhampton for allowing us to collect for RSPCA Week 2014.
We raised the magnificent sum of £1173 over the three days and had loads of much needed cat food, litter and toys donated.
A massive thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who gave up their weekend to collect and to the generous people of Hednesford, Stafford and Willenhall.
Article appearing in the January 2014 edition of Wolverhampton Magazine:
I’ve brought tears to Angela Skitt’s eyes. I’ve asked what it means to her when she takes in a kitten or a cat that has been ill treated and gradually, through showing kindness, it starts to trust a human being again.
“Words can’t describe it,” says Angela filling up. “Some of these animals are totally traumatised when...
Hetti was involved in a devastating house fire in which her previous owner very sadly passed away. Hetti herself suffered from smoke inhalation and was lucky to have survived. After a short stay in the vets, thankfully Hetti fully recovered and came into the cattery looking for a new home.
She was very apprehensive at first due to the awful experience she had been through and no doubt missing her...
The agonising cries of the male black and white cat were heard by a Wolverhampton man one evening in June. Spikey, as he has been nicknamed by RSPCA staff, was impaled on a fence with a metal spike going right through his body.
Found at the bottom of a garden at Lyndhurst Road in Wolverhampton, the cat was screaming out in pain.
RSPCA inspector Dawn Burrell received the emergency call and knew within...
Tilly and Tansy arrived recently after being seized from a house where they had been abandoned without food or water after being abused.
Both girls were severely traumatised when they arrived (especially Tilly). Tansy immediately hid under the blanket and refused to come out. Tilly did the same but whereas Tansy was frightened, Tilly was rigid with fright. Their previous owners had pierced their ears and...

MERRY XMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS
Special Appeal – Heidi and Poppy
Hello we are Heidi and Poppy. I am Heidi, I am 14 years old and need medication to control my blood pressure and I am also partially sighted. I think I may be going a bit deaf as well. Poppy is about 6 years old. Our owners took us to the Cattery but never came back for us. We just want an easy life with a comfy chair and human love. We are not looking for a home together but I would prefer to have some feline company. Poppy would be best suited as the only cat and we would both like a home without young children. If you have room for either of us older quieter ladies in your life, please ring 07715 540206 as we would love to meet you (and obviously come home with you!).
Love Heidi and Poppy xxx

Hi everyone, my name is Bella.
I’m a friendly little girl looking for a place to call my own.
